Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was named one of TIME magazine's “Heroes for the Planet” for his lifelong work as an environmental activist. A senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council and having successfully worked on several high-profile environmental cases, he is an award-winning journalist with articles appearing in the Washington Post, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, and Esquire. He has also published a number of books including the New York Times’ bestseller Crimes Against Nature. The son of the former U.S. Attorney General, senator from New York and 1968 Democratic candidate for president, Mr. Kennedy is a graduate of Harvard University, studied at the London School of Economics and received his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School. He later received a master’s degree in environmental law from Pace University School of Law. |

Nancy A. McBride is the national safety director of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in Alexandra, Va., and has been with the Adam Walsh Child Resource Center since its inception in 1981. A former administrative assistant to founder John Walsh, she has supervised all child safety education programs. After assisting on five major television productions, including “Adam” and HBO’s “How to Raise a Smart Child,” Ms. McBride left the Adam Walsh Center in 1987 to become regional trainer with HBO in Atlanta. She returned in 1990 as executive director of the Florida branch of the Adam Walsh Center following its merger with the NCMEC. An author of many child safety publications and articles, she is a frequent lecturer on the issues of child safety and exploitation and guest on television and radio programs as well as widely quoted source in national print publications. |
